Mr. Morgan is a shareholder with Maxwell & Morgan, P.C. where he practices exclusively in community association law and litigation. Mr. Morgan has helped chair the Legislative Action Committee for the Community Associations Institute (CAI), Central Arizona Chapter, where he participates in reviewing and analyzing State legislation involving community associations. Mr. Morgan is one of only a handful of attorneys in Arizona that has been admitted to the national College of Community Association Lawyers. Mr. Morgan has been invited to participate as a faculty member for educational seminars on a local and national level, including seminars presented by CAI, Arizona Association of Community Managers (AACM), the National Business Institute (NBI), the Leadership Centre, Lorman, Arizona School of Real Estate and Half Moon Seminars. Mr. Morgan has served on the Education Committee for AACM where he assisted in drafting course material for the training of community managers throughout Arizona. In addition to the various training manuals prepared for AACM, Mr. Morgan is also the co-author of “Passing on Common Expenses to the Benefitting Owners”, Community Times, Vol. 1, 2004 and has authored a case note entitled United States v. O’Hagan, Recognition of the Misappropriation Theory, 12 BYU J. Pub. L. 147 (1998).
Mr. Morgan did his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University where he graduated in 1996 with University honors. Mr. Morgan earned his law degree from Brigham Young University, J. Reuben Clark Law School, where he competed on the International Moot Court Team and served as Lead Articles Editor for the Brigham Young University Journal of Public Law. In addition to representing community associations in traditional legal and litigation issues, Mr. Morgan appears in bankruptcy court to represent association interests in bankruptcies filed by homeowners.
Mr. Morgan is a member of the State Bars of Arizona and Utah and has been practicing law in Arizona since 1999. Mr. Morgan is also admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Arizona.
